It’s time to get your annual Scare on the Square.
On Saturday, from 4:30-9 p.m., Main Street Statesboro and official sponsor Zaxby’s present this year’s event downtown.
Scare, which is being billed as the spookiest one yet, promises to be a fun time for people of all ages.
The event features hayrides, a scarecrow-decorating contest, costume contests, a haunted house, candy in the form of a “trunk-or-trea,” and the signature “Thriller” dance.
Dr. Brent Wolfe’s student volunteers have played a major role in planning Scare this year.
“My student volunteers have been working diligently on this event for two months and have done a fantastic job,” he said. “We’ve thrown some new twists on some of the activities from previous years that we’re certain children and their families, as well as those seeking a little bit of adventure will enjoy.”
More than 25 local vendors will also be on hand selling food and merchandise.
Parking and admission are free to the general public.
